I really do respect and understand this logic but you have to trust you can get your players to pay attention through the merits of your storytelling. Deltarune does. Slay the Princess does

like... this couldn't have the best way to give guiding narration. Surely we could've gotten Samus to say in her tough hot woman voice "this lifeform is hostile... seems to thrive in standing water..." and then flash up like "Hunter Log Updated" on the HUD or something with more in depth lore
