Another from the Goldfields area of Western Australia. There’s a collection of these old tin shacks a little way from the town of Leonora and a few hundred metres from a modern, massive, open-pit gold mine.

Typical scene from South Australia where stone is/was the most easily available building material. This part of Australia at least does need rain. Sitting in the middle of a paddock near the Murray River & seen easily from the road along the cliff tops south of Walker Flat.

We camped near Wongulla, a small community a little north of the Big Bend area, for three nights and loved the sunrises and sunsets. This shot is from a little before sunset when the birds were roosting for the night.

Having seen the Mitta Mitta River flood plain from the road I was keen to fly the drone and get a different perspective from the air. Spread across the plain are numerous small lakes and pans left over from the last time the river flooded. Dead trees are everywhere.

A small coastal dhow sets sail off the island of Lamu along the north east coast of Kenya. Lamu is the oldest town in Kenya. It is distinctive for its Swahili architecture, narrow laneways, donkeys and its own notion of time.

Another street scene from Murrumburrah, NSW. Also from my walk after lunch at the pub a few weeks back. There really were very few people around … maybe one or two plus a small number of cars and trucks … and that was it!
