Here's what it looks like from my door today, and has for the past 3 days. That's not a light snow. That's ice.

My late 2nd or 3rd cousin documented it for her Daughters of the Revolution application.

My Canadian ancestry goes back to the 1700s when Antoine Dozat (sp?) came to New Orleans from Acadia to fight in the Revolutionary War (Galvez Expedition). Does that count?

My 2 tabbies tuck themselves up against me every night. Both on top of covers, but one against my stomach, one behind my legs.

I saw this in the theater (1974-75) at least a dozen times.

I get it. Henry does parkour all over my tiny apartment several times a day.

I'm past middle age, and I love all your books. I relisten to them all the time. Comfort listens. My father (born 1912) was a big sci-fi aficionado, and was instrumental in getting me into it. I did start with fantasy, tho (Andre Norton's Witch World series), but then branched into Heinlein.

I've never owned a house all by myself, and I'll be 70 in January. Congratulations, Athena! And I love the style. This would be my choice, too. Can we see any pics of the inside (before you moved in, of course. I just want to see the layout).

The Forever War by Joe Haldeman. It's time I caught up. Just finished the Old Man's War series by John Scalzi.

I got my covid and flu shots yesterday. My arm is sore on the covid side but otherwise I seem to have no reaction.

When I was a teenager, my parents planted a 20 foot row of tomatoes in the garden. She was canning forever, lol. We had homemade tomato sauce to make spaghetti bolognese with. Commercial sauce just ain't the same.

Yeah, I turned on Blazing Saddles for my then 8 and 11 yr olds, then had to stop it to explain the parody of racism and how my 11 yo son couldn't say the N word, ever. I did a lot of education that day!

My mother told me to read Stranger in a Strange Land, and she was NOT a sci-fi fan like my dad. When I finally did, I understood.

Don't remember my 1st sci-fi book. My father tried to introduce me to it, and settled on recommending Andre Norton. I read the Witch World series first. My favorite book is The Door Into Summer, by Heinlein.

I ditched typing class my senior year of high school so I could take German I. Along with my 2nd year of French. I'd already taken 4th yr Spanish. Later, I found I actually needed to know how to type, so took a night class. We used electric typewriters.

Yes! My mother and I had "coke floats" with "ice milk" and Diet Rite when I was a kid in the 60s. She was always on a diet lol.
