I swear every time there's a story about 'animals' I check the list and it's not there 🤔 And there are some places around the country which aren't covered by any of the regions in the approved list! I assume a lot of it will be fixed in the new CMS

There's a 'use only these terms' list for categories, which honestly has some pretty bizarre inclusions and omissions; and there's a 'tag' box which at first I was told was freeform, then told not to use at all... so it really depends on who did your training that first week 😂

We had this issue with an old CMS at 3 News - there were more than 11,000 tags because anyone could write anything 😂 I was told very early on at RNZ to not use the 'tags' box in iNews for this very reason - and I never see anything filed with that category used, so I suspect these are mostly old?

I bought this on tape. Would have been early '96. I had $15 and went to Sounds to buy the new Cranberries album, but saw this and remembered I'd seen 'Common People' on Top of the Pops and the 'Something Changed' video and decided to get it instead. CB album was good, but this was on another level

Ours is just finishing year 12, unclear if he'll go back next year. It's been pretty rough. My instinct is that this is a terrible idea, perhaps based on it being a charter school thing, but the *concept* is perhaps on stronger ground than some other of the bullshit charter stuff that's going on

We have one! It's OK if the floor is completely clear (rare) but with kids, sometimes you've just got to use a real vacuum

When our eldest was a toddler and obsessed with vacuum cleaners, we literally bought him a real one as a toy because it was cheaper than a toy! I wish we still had it. I'm assuming it broke because it was cheap, but at least it sucked

When I saw the list of brands, I kind of just shrugged... we buy none of these because they're usually 30 percent more expensive than the exact same product sitting next to it with a different label

Must be the single one of these models that works. I will never buy a vacuum that looks like this ever again lol

That is a pretty vacuum though. No exposed cyclonic engines, no visible filters... Just looks like it works

But they 'suck' when they're new. They're just not good. The obsolescence theory doesn't make sense! I feel like I'm going insane 😂 Why are they so much worse?!

I can't justify a new one right now (this one is less than 2 years old) but I swear, I will be looking for something incredibly basic next time
