Not the most exciting thing but now in addition to being able to recruit a max of 16 characters you can also dismiss characters to free space to recruit new ones. I don’t suspect many people will need this but atleast it’s there now #indiedev #gamedev #indiegame #rpg #jrpg

Few changes to the recruit screen: raised the max number of recruitable characters from 8 to 16 and now when swapping reserve chars into your party it displays the sprite of their class next to their name

I added an option in the pause menu to rename your party members, so now if you named your party members something dumb like A, B, C, D you don’t have to be stuck with it the whole game lol

Additional 4 character. Before you had to recruit a 5th character of your choice and swap it with the first character, so this just saves a few steps

This technically lets you kind of bypass the quiz, but we didn’t want to remove the quiz altogether since we like it and other people like it too, it’s a very retro rpg sort of thing.

I designed it a long time ago but I think the text box design was inspired by ultima 4 on the nes. The pause menu layout was inspired by ultima 3 nes and there’s some classic dragon quest inspiration in there too
