Pettiness like that comes from a position of weakness. Trump is a weak President whose only ability to get anything done is to illegally cram it through with no consideration for what it actually does to people in the US and globally. Sure, it's a fucking map name change. Yeah, it's pretty insignificant in comparison. But it's a bellwether. It's to see who's going to go along with this shit and who's going to resist it. Google caved before anybody raised any kind of stink. The AP got shut out of a press briefing because they didn't toe the line on the name. A bunch of middle schoolers on a US military base in Germany walked out on Hegseth when he showed up. They've got more spine than Google or most of the Democrat leadership. Always watch out for things that might be inconsequential. They're not. They're thin wedges. "Oh, you went along with the Gulf thing. How about we say all trans folks need to be run over by trains? You okay with that? You are? Great!" Anyway, fuck Trump. Fuck Musk. Fuck every one of his incel army of "IT Professionals" who can't even lock down their own fucking SQL databases.
