“The Russians would have been in Kyiv in 4 hours if they went down the highway. But a Russian general decided to go through the farmland”
Remember when we thought Biden being confused in which country he was was bad enough?
Tried it with the meowing creature as well. She did not like it too much.

Still happy with the result!!
Not a single time in history eliminating populations has benefited humans.
Humans were selfish with deer in 19th century Finland and the wolves started eating humans.
The reason for discontinuing is pretty banal: I moved countries and uni did not allow remote studies (anymore). Having fought the battles with Finnish bureaucracy, still not having my h-tunnus, going back would have only meant putting myself in a trickier situation
11.08.2025 07:55 — 👍 3 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0Well, it’s happening
I have reached out to Vilnius University regarding the discontinuation of my studies. It’s a shame, I was a good student (for my standards at least) and really hoped to become a Philologist by diploma.
Let’s hope I manage and become a student in🇫🇮
Mr @dov.bsky.social has finally convinced me to give it a try
11.08.2025 07:30 — 👍 4 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0Sakari bought me the equipment for prerecorded lessons :D
Let’s see if I manage to use it.
The 20 prerecorded videos will be FREE for all my students, for the rest - 10€. It’s a trial to see if it works and has a demand.
It’s for those who struggle to find time or can’t afford contact lessons
The right to national self-determination is not "earned." It is inherent.

10.08.2025 14:23 — 👍 14 🔁 2 💬 3 📌 0What do you mean "earned"?
You mean murdering rapists who steal your children to sell on the web "earn" the a right to do so.
And what you mean, "No big chunks or sections are going to be given"?
Do you have a right to "give" anything not yours?
Even Chamberlain would have been ashamed.
Where? Online.
How often and how long? 90 mins, once a week.
How much? - 150€ for 3 months.

But no.
They thought I knew Ukrainian. Luckily, we figured out this misunderstanding NOT during the event
I catch myself thinking I want to learn this and that European language, but
I should study more non European languages. After Te Rep & Hebrew I am kind of scared, but I don’t dare to call myself a language lover if I am focusing on just… two linguistic families pretty much
Setting up the potential timetables for my group course lessons...
Hope nothing falls through!! Studying the time zones, too :)
You can register over Sunday, please find the form here: forms.gle/WcYSxPqRStnD...

09.08.2025 14:48 — 👍 4 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0The most Vilnius thing about me is that if I try to speak Polish or Russian, it will be a mix of both (+unknowingly some Belarusian words).
See, I lived in an area where there were Russians, Poles and there were Poles speaking this local mix.

I’d describe your level as A2.1, but you have a gift of intuition when it comes to context, so B1 should be easy peasy for you☺️
The real measure of how chatty or silent some nation is is whether you can easily follow the dialogue scripts from your course book with them and often they break the characters.
