コロナ禍でのロックダウン、米中摩擦の激化により、生産拠点の分散化を進めたアップル。
その受け皿として、スマホ組み立て産業を誘致したインドの話。
企業目線だと、14億の内需を捉えにいくという点では意味のある一手。輸出拠点化は……外部要因の変化が激しすぎて、様子を見ないとよくわからなくなってきた。
米国の関税政策が今後も変わらなければ、現地生産をベースにインド国内市場をピンポイントで開拓しにいく企業が増えてもおかしくない気もする。

住民の口は重く、話をじっくり聞くこと自体が簡単ではありませんでしたが、そこから見えてきたものを報告しています。

シュエコッコ、想像の何倍もデカかったです。川の対岸からビル群を眺めた限り、中規模都道府県の県庁所在地くらいの規模かな、と感じました。
そんな街が、荒漠とした農村地帯を車で走っていると、いきなり現れる。異様です。

1000年以上前に造られたとされるガネーシュ像@チェンナイ。
表面はだいぶ滑らかになっているけど、顔のサイズ感や腹まわりなど、フォルムは現代のそれとほぼ同じ。
ちょっと感動した。

ニューデリーに滞在しています。
最近よく名前を聞くティム・ホートンズ（Tim Hortons)が宿の近くにあったので、試しに。
ラテは少し苦味が強くて、割と好きなテイストでした。
テイクアウェイ、とお願いしたつもりだったけど、まあいいか。

デリーに愛着があるのも理由の一つだろうけど、こちらにきて以来、心から湧いてくる喜びを感じます。
理由は、秋を感じられたから。
常夏の国に住むのは初めてで、私にはまだ少しつらい。
心配していた大気汚染も、ディワーリー期間中のようなひどさはなく、空も結構青いです。
