I agree it’s a hit job. Doesn’t change the fact that pardoning him because it was “political” erodes trust even further in the justice system and affirms Trumps claims that it was weaponized against him. It’s also visibly inauthentic and elitist, part of why dems have lost working class voters.

Joe Biden spent significant portions of his career trying to bolster policing and jailing for poor people and minorities. Pardoning his son is both foolish and incredibly selfish, and is a gift to the right wing. Dems need to be running away from elitism, not embodying it so brazenly
