Has anyone interviewed Merrick Garland? There are some very tough questions that need to be asked.

White males have overwhelmingly voted for the Trump/Christian Fascists starting in 2016 and showing no signs that this will change. A majority of White women can be scarred shitless into voting for Trump (see George W 2004).

If only the International Criminal Court would have done its job and laid charges of Crimes Against Humanity on George W and Tony B. Going after the little fish is all fine but for the rule of law to prevail you have to go after the big fish.

So who is PP losing voters to? PPC is up in votes, so a hit from the right. Progressives seem to be going to the NDP & Greens from the Liberals while Carney keeps on with his right ward push taking votes away from PP. End result, a rural party which is where the Trump supporters are

Well the underlying societal structures at the beginning of settlement are different. The Puritans were scarred shitless of the wilderness, natives & the CofE and most of the colonies were established by Protestant nut job religions. In Canada it was primarily Trade in Beaver Pelts

So here is my dilemma, got excess capacity with my solar panels, should by a new car (14 yr old ICE). Government subsidy declines over time but new better EVs (maybe cheaper) are on their way.

With Carney moving the Liberal Party to the right, it is Carney who is defining what conservationism means for the next 10-15 years. PP is defining what neo-fascism/ libertarian means

Waiting for Nenshi to catch fire with the electorate.

Your kindling is damp and you got a box of those useless Chinese made matches, not the Great Eddy wooden matches that we had in the olden days. I used to be known as one match Cec for my ability to start camp fires

The contrast between Canadian and American settler founding myth(s) as the basis (all or in part) for the different trajectories is an interesting hypothesis

Americans (white) have been scared shitless from the get go, Puritans were scarred of the wilderness, the natives & CofE. The USA narrative is fear of the other

But Carney is the one who is defining what conservatism will be as he moves the Liberals to the right.

What the flying fuck was that all about?

It is just to bad that in order to get the most students to graduate High School there has to be a Mickey Mouse Science class so that most students can get that credit. Obviously, PP took the MM class

In the 1950s Chrysler choose an accountant as their CEO, and what do all good accountants do, cut R&D as it contributed nothing but cost to the current bottom line. Chrysler never recovered.

The Question is will Canada be able to develop a electric R&D pipeline to match that in China? Right now in China they have developed a very short pipeline from basic research to proof of concept to mass production. China is years ahead & appears to be unstoppable.

From 1870 to 1990ish we had Ethnic Nationalism & the Power of the Nation State that lead to 2 World Wars and untold # of deaths. Now we are in the era of Religion & the Power of the Nation State which is/will cause cataclysmic wars with a death toll magnitudes higher.

So does this actually mean that there will be a competitive market? Will I be able to buy lower priced Manitoba Hydro rather than the more expensive coal generated electricity from SaskPower? And as a Saskatchewan Taxpayer will I still have to subsidize SaskPower's carbon capture?

Citizens in Canada who vote for right of center parties tend to watch Fox News and listen to Talk Radio. In Rural Canada it has reached epidemic proportions.

Well if jurisdictions can put in a viable functional electricity market such that all sources are treated fairly, the real long term trend would be lower electricity prices. In Canada the provinces have done a piss pot poor job on this file.
