NASA's Parker Solar Probe studies the Sun's corona from just 4 million miles away. It uses tools like FIELDS and WISPR to analyze solar wind, plasma, and coronal ejections, converting data into sounds and images. Findings are sent to Earth for analysis during distant orbits.

Red Sprites

This is not a painting or a Photoshop creation. It is a rare atmospheric phenomenon called Red Sprites, visible only under specific conditions, showcasing nature's hidden light show.

An international team of researchers has detected a binary star orbiting close to Sagittarius A*, the supermassive black hole at the center of our galaxy. It is the first time a stellar pair has been found in the vicinity of a supermassive black hole.

ESO 137-001:

As the galaxy moves through space at 1.5 million miles per hour, it leaves not one but two tails behind it.

These tails trailing after ESO 137-001 are made of superheated gas that Chandra detects in X-rays (blue).
