#GambaOsaka vs. Vissel today, which is a fixture I often look forward to for a couple of reasons. a) its a Kansai derby, and b) the nickname given to Takashi Usami (the Kobe Killer). This goal is back from 2010, when he won the J.League's best young player award.

True, true, and as you and the JTalk guys have said before, having one of the most inaccessible stadiums in the J doesn't exactly help them.

As #GambaOsaka travel to Shizuoka and face S-Pulse in the #JLeague today, let's take a look back at one of the best goals scored in this fixture (and possibly the league?). Usami controls the ball mid-air, takes out the defender (Miura Genta) and sets himself up in one move. Nice finish, too.

If we're talking both the excitement and anticipation leading up to launch and the satisfaction and enjoyment after, I'd say the PS2 was the last one.

I miss the days of reading through previews in mags and trawling the streets of north London to see if any shops were willing to risk selling the game before the release date. The excitement and anticipation leading up to the actual purchase of the game was a crazy ride.

Took Konami a while to get to grips with the PSP. Early releases of PES were bad and clunky compared to the JP releases. Played WE2008 more than the PS2 version as it felt more slick. 2011 was when the series reached its peak on the console, and that's the edition I still play today.

As #GambaOsaka host Antlers later today, I'm reminded of this Yonekura goal 7 years ago.

Such an awesome console, and I'd even go as far to say this is the best ever handheld. UMDs suck, but it's more comfy than both the 3DS and Switch. You can probably guess my collection.

Bit of a wild purchase, this. Montedio Yamagata's 2019 GK jersey. The bold green pattern and badge is what got me. Settsu Hayato didn't play many games for #Montedio, which makes this get even more left-field.
