Strength of gender biases in AI images varies across languages
Text-to-image generators reproduce stereotypes and reinforce them. The direction and strength of the distortion depends heavily on the language in question.
Scientists, including Alexander Fraser, studied how text-to-image generators deal with #gender stereotypes in various #languages. The results show that the models not only reflect #genderbiases, but also amplify them: go.tum.de/446018
