Yesterday the House of Lords voted not to block the Government’s Public Order Act (2023). Expanding the definition of key national infrastructure, meaning peaceful protests on animal testing facilities will face criminal sanctions. This is not just a violation of animal rights but of human rights!

Perhaps the idea of lab meat (and dare we say meat substitutes) is still heavily linked to eating meat, rather than refocusing on the endless possibilities of a plant-based diets. But ultimately ending the livestock industry, would be a big win!
