Since my last post was about life jackets it’s only right to post this since it came in 😂

Some things I’ve ordered since Hurricane Helene last year:

-life jackets for all humans and pets
-steel toed rain boots
-waders
-dry bags
-whistles
-garmin inreach
-extra plastic storage totes to be able to quickly pack things in

I always assumed with climate change we would be looking at cat 8 storms with insane wind and that would be the new thing. Never considered storms stalling and just dumping rain. I think I would take the wind over flash floods tbh

Really locking in on my hurricane preps/ storm preps with an emphasis on flooding because it seems that is the new problem to worry about these days

Hearing the news about the looming TikTok sale reminded me I need to post on here more 😂

I’ve been in Ireland the last week and I’m headed back home tomorrow. I’m so sad to leave 🥲 it’s so peaceful and pleasant here

Bought life jackets for my entire family (including the cat) for this upcoming hurricane season 😅

America is collapsing and my hoa is fining me for to many weeds in the yard lmaooo. What dystopian hellhole am I stuck in 😂

I’ve been binge watching TikTok’s of Americans who moved to Thailand and Mexico and other places. Every time they show their gorgeous homes and then say what their rent is I want to immediately pack up and move

Actually managed to grow some russet potatoes in grow bags! I’m way to excited over this lol. Now experimenting with curing them so they store for a while 🥔

So far this weekend I have done a Publix, Walmart, Costco and Sprouts trip to fill in gaps in my prepper pantry. I would be happy if I never had to go to a grocery store ever again 😅

Idk if this is interesting or not lmao but here’s what I have so far on my stock up list based on my inventory

-protein pasta

-propane canisters for my camping stove and buddy heater
-ibuprofen

Well waking up to Spain and Portugal not having electricity really didn’t improve my Monday lol. How crazy and scary 😅

Working on doing an inventory of my stockpile to see if there are any items I’m getting low on so that I can refill. Trying to get ahead of any looming shortages

I’m at a local prepper meet up and this girl and her dog are absolutely sending me 😂😂😂😂

We have a full size orange tree in the backyard that the prior owners planted. I have fully been neglecting it during the renovation 🥴. Spent today pruning, cleaning out the moss and fertilizing it bc I think having your own food source (big or small) is going to become important very soon

What I’m doing to try & be ready for a recession 🥴

-did a mini audit on all of my monthly subscriptions/fees and put them all in a spreadsheet. Going through and cancelling everything I can to reduce my monthly costs

-eating more meals with items only from my prepper pantry, no grocery store

Focusing on my water storage for the month of April. Most of my food is dried beans/rice and freeze dried long term meals. I def do not have enough water to soak and cook everything 😅

So do we think these tariffs are real this time, or will he cancel them again after all the billionaires have bought low?

2. Food you can cook without power
3. Lights: lanterns flashlights etc
4. Emergency radio
5. Battery backup for your phone
6. Battery powered fans
7. Cooling towels
8. Tarps
9. Sandbags: bags of potting soil work great as an alternative
10. Go bag in case of evacuation

Hurricane season is almost here and with even less NOAA employees (thanks 🥕) I think we should all be getting ready. It’s easier on the wallet to start buying a few things over the next few months rather than panic buying when a storm is announced

I know everything is expensive, but if you can I really think everyone should be stocking up on food and water. I think reducing our dependency on weekly grocery runs is going to be important in the near future.
