In like a decade of appellate practice, I never once asked a client for “permission” to agree to an extension. And a whole lot of my clients were lawyers. My theory: people who are assholes, but also cowards, fabricate the need to defer to a client so they don’t have to admit being assholes.
I think we’re about to find out whether “Big Pharma” really controls health care like some people say it does. Because if so, they’d never let Secretary Brain Worm pull this shit, unless their shareholders suddenly decided that losing bazillions of dollars in revenue was a cool thing to do.
Is this thing on?
