The reason we’re here is the obsessive political fixation on gaining the votes of an unreasonable minority while counting on the notion that the reasonable (silent) majority have no choice but to keep voting the same way. So it’s absolutely in our hands to shake this belief in taking us for granted.

Took me a minute to workout that the ‘cabinet’ being referred to is a cupboard, and not the government. However this statement may be true of both.
