I don’t disagree with people’s criticisms of Norris because they’re valid. I disagree with the fuckers who would give everything to see him fail.

besides, what better story is there than a man who always seems to fuck up managing to beat the newcomer who never does (relatively speaking anyways)?

-to me and gets trashed for it? This isn’t to take away from Piastri because he’s damned good at keeping calm and just being consistently there, but frankly there is reassurance for myself should Norris succeed.

And Norris, well, he just seems like a nice guy.

-And the projection going on here, but every time I’ve tried to go and acknowledge that I’m bad or I’m stupid or whatnot, people go and reassure me that I’m a decent person and whatnot.

So why wouldn’t I support the driver who seems to in some ways be similar-

-immature, frankly idiotic mockery sometimes from some people.

For me I know I’ve said and will likely continue to say a lot of dumb things to other people, and I know I tend to make a lot of dumb mistakes that should be avoided.

And I realize the paradoxical nature of this-

I must admit some of the reasons I support Lando Norris over Oscar Piastri are the same things people use to criticize him. For example, throwing shade at him for stupid things he’s said, or the mistakes he makes on track.

They’re valid criticisms but frankly it gets to the point of-

wish I had wings to be able to sheild myself from sun like that, huh
