03.09.2025 11:06 β π 4 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Not really - metro takes at least 2 years of the entire capital budget. It is rotten value and serves a small sliver of the population. From Donegal to Wexford, there is a whole belt of Ireland starved of investment & economic hope. They vote indos now, maybe swing far right if this continues
17.08.2025 09:00 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Basically, everyone in Dublin (pop: 29%) wants, Dublin journalist interview Dublin academics. Dublin received 56-65% of capital spending since the bust. My region (9% pop) is denied β¬12m matched funding for our airport, 24/7 cardiac care and received 2-3% of cap spend since bust. Brutally unfair.

15.01.2025 15:19 β π 11 π 4 π¬ 0 π 1I hope it's like the time I gave up Australian soap operas in 1989. Never looked back, and AFAIK the folks in Ramsey St & Summer Bay never missed me, or changed their abominable behaviour without my careful surveillance. When it's real and murderous it is worse, a la Adam Curtis's oh dearism.
