If Carrick was to leave today, how would you view his tenure at Boro?

To borrow a phrase, I’ve heard it described as “an enjoyable failure” which I’d be inclined to agree with.

They’ve given themselves the luxury of wiggle room with their early results. We haven’t. We can’t afford anymore poor form.

Not sure I agree with that first point entirely. Certainly not to the same extent which is why we’re playing catch up.

You’re right it does stifle others but we’re chasing teams down and we’ve dropped an awful lot of points already…I hope you’re right and we do brush it aside.

Personally speaking I think it’s Burnley, Leeds and Sheff United we’re going to be chasing down over the season not Sunderland.

If we want to give ourselves a chance of top 2 we have to win those type of games. Particularly after our poor start. Not much room for error now.

This Boro team were always capable of delivering a thrashing to a poor side like QPR/Luton but Oxford are a formidable side at home 👍🏻

One last hurdle remains for Boro; beating an organised low block. Crack that and I might just be convinced we’re genuinely onto something this season.

Nice to see Darlington station take their reputation as the coldest place on earth seriously.
