We coupled forest growth, disturbance and economic models to simulate the interaction of forest productivity and disturbances under climate change⦠and there are big differences across Europe with C Europe being a particular hotspot of disturbance losses.

Could setting forest areas aside for conservation lead to more disturbances?π²
Analysis of 314 pairs of managed & set-aside forests across Germany found no increase in disturbance rates in forest reserves. In fact, set-aside areas had fewer disturbances π π§ͺ
