Ausschreibungs-Infos: Der Preis ist zur Auszeichnung einer herausragenden wissenschaftlichen Abschlussarbeit (Masterarbeit) auf dem Gebiet der historischen Transformationsforschung bestimmt und dient der Förderung jüngerer Hochschulabsolvent:innen. Hierfür werden 500 € zur Verfügung gestellt. Auszeichnungsfähig sind Absolvent:innen von Master-Studiengängen, die zum Zeitpunkt der Abgabe der Arbeit das 30. Lebensjahr noch nicht vollendet haben. Für eine Prämierung kommen Arbeiten infrage, die sich mit historischen und sozialwissenschaftlichen Fragestellungen auf den Gebieten der historischen Transformation in Osteuropa oder anderen Weltregionen befassen, einschließlich der Ko-Transformation der westeuropäischen Länder. Jährlich werden bis zu zwei Abschlussarbeiten gefördert. Gestiftet von: Verein 1989 und dem Research Center for the History of Transformations (RECET) an der Universität Wien. Formale Voraussetzungen und Bewerbungsverfahren: Die Masterarbeit muss an einer Wiener Universität in den akademischen Jahren 23/24 oder 24/25 abgeschlossen und mit „sehr gut“ bewertet worden sein. Nominierungen werden von Betreuer:innen der Masterarbeiten eingereicht. Eine Begründung, die den Exzellenzanspruch der Masterarbeit überzeugend darlegt, muss beigelegt werden.
