The lighting in this game emotionally resonates with me in a way I can’t explain. It’s really excellent.
Indeed. I’m not in the mood to argue for various external reasons and the attitude of the other guy angers me and I realize that thus turning me against their argument. I actually agree with them but their ability to argue it fails to compel or show understanding. I’m sometimes guilty of this too.😢
Buy from Steam then refund
OK, well, it would be nice if this didn't have DRM either. I'm not passionate enough to fight about this. The loss of physical media killed my interest in any of this, basically. You keep fighting the good fight.
There's plenty that don't, however. I don't blame publishers for trying to protect their games. Those types of games are played for decades - 'one and done' titles are often treated differently.
Wait, I've used Denuvo games on Linux without issue. What's the deal there?
I guess - what’s the alternative? DRM free just isn’t safe for most games to try. Are there other, better solutions to prevent piracy?
I feel your pain, Fart Face. Hopefully soon. Also hoping for larger sizes.
How do you open them without damage?
That’s what I’ve done. :-)
For those asking, the monitor is...
rog.asus.com/monitors/27-...
It's very very close to the point where I'm not able to perceive a difference, which is shocking.
I'm afraid that's not currently the case. None of the current slate of OLEDs are able to come close to matching this with BFI. The ol' LG CX actually DID come close but at the cost of brightness. Sadly there's no way to experience this motion clarity with great OLED image quality. :(
I should mention this - when using ULMB2 with this display, it is compatible with ALL HDMI/DP devices. If you want to plug a Switch into this? No problem. You can take full advantage of absolute motion clarity.
So it serves both as a VRR PC Pulsar monitor and a perfect clarity display for anything
It works with any device!
The Pulsar VRR function requires Nvidia GPU but the 60hz ULMB is universal.
It has a range of 10 to 100. I'm finding that 40 or 50 is a sweet spot. The monitor is very bright in this mode and motion clarity is exceptionally clear to the point where I can't detect any blurring. At 25% it's still impressively bright. Only when dropping into the teens does it become dark.
Significantly better
Well, this isn’t my main monitor - I use it as a side monitor in vertical mode on a rotating arm. So when I play 60hz content, this’ll be the way to go. It makes anything limited to that look like a CRT in terms of motion clarity. Still an LCD tho so OLED wins elsewhere.
Ok, they’ve done. The Pulsar lineup of monitors have been updated and a new ULMB mode has been added with variable pulse width. This is the first LCD I’ve ever loved now. The motion clarity at 60hz is CRT perfect. It’s incredible. Now it’s great for modern and retro games alike. A game changer.
The game seems cpu limited so should be fine on base
It's not about 'letting' - they could only easily bring one console and brought a PS5 Pro.
People keep saying this but if you watch the video it would be clear that it will come in due time but we ONLY had access to a PS5 Pro.
Well, let me say this - I think most open world games are boring. I don't really enjoy them and I don't find exploration interesting for many reasons. Here, I found everything about the exploration, the interactions and combat to be so fun that just walking across the world became super enjoyable.
It is time! It's been ages since a new game has come along and completely upset every expectation I had. Crimson Desert is that game. As someone that hadn't kept up with it, holy moly, the results are genuinely insane and this is the first complete look at the console version!
They seemingly blocked me. How odd. Dude has a serious issue.
How is that even remotely comparable? It’s shipping now and it’s still under a year. They’re upfront about timings these days and the products always release. It’s not even close to the same thing.
No we don’t. They are all run through a virtual machine and that VM is what’s not starting properly. It has nothing to do with the games themselves.
Be sure to check again in like 9 months. Mine was perfect for years but last time I played through it I actually recall some minor glitches as well, but didn't think about it. Then it failed entirely. Just have to use Everdrive when I want to play it now.
I'm seeing lots of reports about this particular game, yeah. Tested the cards on a variety of systems. I also went through every other Hucard in my library and they're all fine.
Cherish it. It may not be long for this world.
