It's baffling that there is no safe bike connection between SA and Lockwood/NH. Have taken the lane but can't recommend. My current work-around is Denis to the mountain bike trails then up the sidewalk to TJ's.

Not to shoot for the moon, but widening the sidewalk that exists would also be great. At the very least it would be great if the utility poles were moved out of the sidewalk.

Can we talk about the closure of the Rock Creek Trail at the old Georgetown power plans and the sudden detour that sends trail users onto the Parkway in rush hour without warning? Saw multiple folks nearly killed this morning. @waba.org

I will never understand why the CCT is plowed but Sligo is not. Worse, Parks pushes the snow from the parking areas onto the path. The piles block the path long after the snow and ice melts in the trail.

MOCO is a great place to live but we desperately need to address our housing crises. Moving here in the 2010s we won the low interest and price lottery. MOCO had a housing problem then and a crisis now. We need to fix this for the sake of our neighbors and our kids.

CaBi is a huge success. Will the program structure allow it to keep growing regionally? The Capital Bikeshare system is one of the Washington region’s biggest post-pandemic transportation success stories. But its growth is concentrated within the District, and shows uneven progress acros...

I really appreciated this GGWash piece by David Meyer. IMHO, we need more stations in more neighborhoods in Silver Spring to connect housing to transit (ie lower Thayer Avenue). I love CaBi but sometimes feel like the walk to the nearest neighborhood stations (10 and 12 minutes) is a bit long.
