'Paleo-accurate'' Indominus Rex
Hey everyone! I got commissioned to draw an hypothetical realistic Indominus Rex.
It was real fun to work on this considering the fact that i'm no paleo artist and that the mere concept clashes with what paleo art really is about.

Attention:

My man lost his Instagram, and with it, the following he's earned.

His world building is crazy & his monster OCs raw. His fan work for Predator & Godzilla is peak. His art technique with color and shading is sick.

I'm also really happy that i'm one of, if not the only one, that dared to actually bother to draw The Great Wave

Many images where Godzilla is interacting with the wave it's just drawn over the original print.

Anyways, i've done a 1:1 version too

This was all done by hand, all the scales, the background and every single ripple of water
It was extremely fun to do, Last time I tried to mimic Hokusai's Great Wave it was but a mere sketch, this time I worked harder and i'm still far to achieve something close to his work

The face was indirectly inspired by the Razorbills face pattern
This isn't something I've directly did on purpose
I knew that the eyes would make Ghidorah look too natural so I scrapped em
It was days later that a friend shared this bird and found out about it's existance, such a delightful look!

The nebula wings came naturally to me since i've already painted wings like these before, the only addition are the lightning bolts!
A constant, moving and ever present storm of cosmic dust and energy

The flat underside and texture, as well as the dark lines of little tentacles is all inspired by them, plus, it's a star-fish for a star-space dragon 😉

The overall shape of KoCG is inspired by starfishes
Came up with this idea due to their feeding method, they take anything to the center of their bodies where the mouth is located, for Ghidorah it would be the Black Hole that consumes everything
The mouths would only act like graspers to catch stars
