Not sure what the current sentiment is in the #it industry, but based on some opinions found recently online, we've decided to see where the #pullrequest negativity comes from (๐ต๐ฑ only):

It's amazing how weird that sounds once we start saying it out loud.
"Discovering what problem we are solving is not work. Only building the solution is work." ๐ซ
I recall my first discussions with @goorion.bsky.social on #domaindrivendesign and the surprise when I've said: "For me, tactical patterns might not even exist."
I find it especially true at dawn of #ai, when the strategic #ddd can help us decide what to offload to - still imperfect - junio... #LLM.

27.11.2024 10:23 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0At backend we are one step further.
"We have entities, value objects and aggregates, so we do DDD" is the main perception.
But it's getting better. ๐

And I have life motto around it: "collecting books and reading books are two different hobbies". ๐ค

25.11.2024 08:53 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Ouch. Sounds like there's even more evangelization needed than in Backend space.
Looking to read/hear more about it. ๐ซก
That's one of my favorite topics, since I've messed up DRY in my career few times. ๐
I even have video (๐ต๐ฑ only) about it:

Was my first "solo" recording so it could be a little chaotic but, well ๐ซ
I would supplement "WET vs DRY" debate with AHA - "Avoid Hasty Abstractions". ๐
๐พ Been using Cursor #ai for few weeks and I'm pretty content with results.
โ๏ธ For my main language - #csharp - it's too imprecise and can only help with basic boilerplate.
๐ก However, for frontend stuff that I got rusty in, it's really helpful!
But only because I know #react and #angular already. ๐ถโ๐ซ๏ธ
Glad to see more and more "sanity" around this ๐ช
Especially in Frontend area where it is - I guess - still pretty fresh topic?
Spent few hours yesterday with @goorion.bsky.social and the rest of Devmentors.io team to better understand where and how much we should be active to keep sharing knowledge in most effective way. It's funny how many factors are there once you want to make a living out of it. ๐ซ
