I've just watched Geoff Marshall's video about the station. It seems that building the cycle path changed everything. And as there's a gate from the cycle path onto the platform, it's definitely not inaccessible any more.

And to think I've watched Jen's video. It certainly looked impenetrable last time I drove past.

Lympstone Commando, inasmuch as you can't get into the camp and to the station as a member of the public?

I count myself fortunate I've never had to witness it. Hen parties, I assume, feel "safe". Excuse me while I vomit quietly.

What do the straights get out of it? Assuming the men really are straight. Like looking at animals in the zoo? Jealous of our smiles?

I lived in Wimbledon from 1979 to 1981. This brings back memories of taking the train to Croydon to go shopping. The little two coach train with the 1 headcode. Those were, strangely, happy days.

Of course! Now I know why you were familiar. I've just renewed my subscription to Flickr but most of the photos are still there. That poor nurse!

When I was running Plymouth Libraries, I found a whole box of donations relating to the opening of the air service from Roborough. Photos, timetables, maps, etc. Since my office was demolished to build The Box and the Central Library is no more, they could have been thrown out.

I remember the first time I saw Ker Street, about 1984, I honestly thought I was in a post-war East German city. Truly horrible - grey and dark. A huge improvement now, though.

That sounds wonderfully healthy. I hope it continues for a few more days at least.

I had a look. The worst junction has been rebuilt and is much improved. I need another visit.

I'm guessing you didn't see the ring road then? That is big, noisy and ugly. And incomplete.
