Harming Children: the effects of the UK Puberty-blocker ban.
Natacha Kennedy

My research, only published 3 weeks ago, "Harming children: The Effects of the UK Puberty-blocker Ban" has now had over 10,000 hits. Huge for an academic article.

Starmer's government is cruelly & unjustifiably harming children & people want to know about it. 😡

UK government strains to learn lessons from welfare debacle Starmer’s reforming Education Secretary Bridget Phillipson will hope to avoid the turmoil that engulfed Labour’s welfare shake-up.

“One reason SEND reform is so fraught is that parents with experience of fighting for the crucial [EHC] plans... are already highly politicized. They have fought the system before — and they know the law inside out”  You betcha! #saveourchildrensrights

New YouGov polling shows 75% are in favour of a 2% tax on wealth above £10 million.

There’s definitely way more than I’ve seen over the last few years but I don’t know of it’s just here? I’d love to think maybe the warm dry weather earlier in the year has helped the populations to grow

We are really blessed with them this year, we’ve got a patch of clover from some seed i threw over a bare patch and they’ve got some honey bees on there having a lovely old time 😊

We’ve got a lot of happy bumble bees in the garden so I’m guessing they’ll have a nest close by 🥰🐝🌱

I am having one of those days where every single thing I need technology to do is glitching and it’s bloody annoying.

If anyone knows where you can get an adhd assessment for a child in less than 6 months (that my gp/nhs will recognise) please let me know 😩

A slab and gravel pathway interplanted with creeping thyme, chamomile with lots of white flowers and pink and yellow roses in the background leading up to some small steps

It’s amazing what a few mismatched slabs, bags of gravel and a couple of packets of thyme and chamomile can do on our heavy clay soil ☺️ and the bees are very happy too 🐝 🌱

Drowning Doesn’t Look Like Drowning Drowning is not the violent, splashing call for help that most people expect.

Thanks for the reminder @janemunday.bsky.social. Every summer, I repost this article DROWNING DOES NOT LOOK LIKE DROWNING. To date, I know of FOUR kids who were saved after someone who'd clicked on the link learnt how to spot actual drowning. Take time to read and pass on.

1. A story. Please read.
Reposts hugely appreciated on this. You'll see why in a bit.
I was born in Pakistan and lived there until I was 4. My parents worked there as doctors. While we were there we were very close to a couple called Christine and Mike Miles.

My favourite mum hack so far is definitely using kiddo’s microscope to see if the suspicious item is a headlouse or dirt 😆 (it was dirt 😂)

If you are in the UK please consider signing this, our kids need your help to get the help they need so they can access a mainstream education and their teachers can focus on teaching

Paving slabs with gravel between inter planted with creeping thyme and some volunteer strawberries with two tiny green fruit

When I first planted creeping thyme in the pathway my husbands strawberries were in pots next to the path. We now have strawberries in the path 😁

We are so lucky to have a really supportive mainstream primary for kiddo where he’s worn noise cancelling headphones every day and there’s another child in his year that wears ear defenders. Because that’s what he’s always done, the other kids just take it as normal.

White knitting with alternating rows of bobbles that will hopefully look like a sheep

Kiddo has asked me to knit a sheep for him so I’m using this pattern ☺️🐑. Its lovely to knit but I’m not convinced it’s going to hold the stuffing. The texture is amazing though.

Took me a bit to process how big a deal this report actually is--its thus far the only review to look at the entire body of currently available research. It took two years to conduct, stands at 1,000 pages, and completely contradicts the Cass Review and the common arguments for bans on this care.
