I wish I even knew where to start with game dev. My uni SWE experience is basically python, java, and web dev so far.

It is, but there is some truth here in my country.

Since the whole country is a city, everything is expensive, and you can't just "move out of the city" and accept a lower paying job while still living comfortably.
