Oh yay it worked this time 😭 when I originally looked up my stop with d36 it just showed arrival times for other areas around the city (like “core region”) and I was confused. But, maybe just need to try clunky sites twice in case they are buggy :)

I did! It only showed the times when a bus arrived at a certain area of the city instead of the bus stop times 🙃

although I should try again in case it was buggy :)

I do not want to track the bus in real time, I want the full schedule for the day so I actually can appropriately plan my work commute and not show up and then wait 15-20 minutes to be later than the original bus routes were.

Bus routes used to have full day of schedule, does that not exist now???

Dearest @wmata.com - where can I find the estimated time for bus arrivals at a particular bus stop? Just looked up D36 & all I can find are times for specific areas rather than stops.

Not sure if I’m missing where to click.

hi folks! I'm teaching tech ethics this summer, and part of the course is having students read news articles about ongoing tech issues.

can anyone recommend publications that cover tech issues in a non-US context (either issues in countries beyond the US and/or do not center the US)?

I will also say that obviously that like when people who’ve added me are posting things that go against my space of supporting each other, community, and all the work I do in GIS in general, I do remove / unfollow because it’s still

For me in my own space to not say “yes” since I was intentionally (and still do) want to build community.

Currently still have it happening and I’ve decided I will choose a day where I share out GIS jobs (been doing that lately), and then also “accept” requests then.

I constantly get them and I get overwhelmed (I have been in different states of mental health unwell the last few years 😂) and often let them sit and then would mass accept them. I did also used to be more selective but then I started intentionally connecting or sharing info so it didn’t seem right

I think posting an audio at the top of a post is great and you should do it! I’ve seen news articles do that - still have the article, but also have the audio at the top of the page.

Appropriate frequency of buses?

Also, with some routes and this legend being listed with specific times - what are the bus times pre 7and after 9pm? Tell me there still are buses expected before and after 😳😳😳😳😳

Routes (looking at 14 st for example, or entire area for D4, D8 buses right now) because during COMMUTE times those buses are packed right NOW 👁️👄👁️ when there is not “bus every 20-30 minute” (commute time appropriately gives more buses). Or, is that legend now inaccurate and commuter time will have

If medium and low frequency are that frequency during PEAK commuting times as well, are you going to make sure to offset specific
