Unfilled shifts in hospitals lead to overworked doctors - union There were more than 32,000 doctors' shifts unfilled in hospitals in London in six months last year.

BMA has revealed that at least 32,576 shifts across 23 London trusts have been offered to doctors, but have not been filled.
 
Dr Shivam Sharma, says the information backs up "what doctors in London already know: we are untenably short staffed".
