That has got to be the most aesthetic broken screen ever. I like the subtle colour gradient and how smooth the region is

I think this depends on what point in the dev cycle they targeted. I strongly agree that early playtesting is about validating game feel and design, but late playtesting is almost like QA. The post probably stated the cycle period, but it is deleted and I've forgotten

Unless you intentionally incorporate audio bugs, poor resolution scaling, broken settings, or cameras into your game design (which has been done to good effect!) then it will actively degrade your game. Managing it will actually deliver your intended experience

I kind of get what you mean, but most of this post's points (despite being by a crypto shill) require no design or aesthetic compromises from developers

It's not long now before you have low poly 3D wireframes or dithered scenes rendered with sextiles

i built an entire x86 CPU emulator in CSS (no javascript)

you can write programs in C, compile them to x86 machine code with GCC, and run them inside CSS

I bet if you made z-depth textures as well you could do more distance based tricks such as fog, SSAO, shadows, and better sprite sorting, but that would be a lot more work

Sorry for the irrelevant comment (I quite like your lean critique's sting), but the link to Will Wright's quote (presumably) seems to be broken? It's mostly the just quote with url escaping

Never seen something like this before, what a cool concept. What do you suppose the process of shifting would be like?
