El meme de la imagen tiene dos viñetas. En la primera, una captura de Google Translate entre alemán y español muestra la palabra «todes» traducida como «muerte». En la segunda viñeta, una persona de aspecto masculino y gafas, vestida con una camisa azul, grita, mientras el subtítulo muestra las palabras *Confused screaming*. Efectivamente, «todes», o mejor dicho «Todes» es el genitivo de «der Tod» («la muerte») en alemán. Observemos también la diferencia de género de este nombre en ambos idiomas. El género gramatical es arbitrario, es una convención lingüística, y no siempre corresponde con las realidades a las que se refiere. Sin embargo, puede influir en las percepciones que tiene la gente de una palabra concreta, y esas percepciones pueden acarrear consecuencias en la vida diaria.
