The Spotlight Indie crowd are doing some really great things for indie authors right now. This is a brilliant post by @hollytinsl3y.bsky.social and I have to be honest, with how 2025 has gone for me it's a question I've asked myself numerous times. So is it worth carrying on? Yes. 100% yes!

I've approached a couple of artists for some new commissions this evening. I need some additional maps producing and I'm also after some bespoke artwork as well. The focus is switching to new projects in the second half of 2025!

A productive Sunday afternoon working on the Brotherhood Omnibus, although this project has taken me far longer than I expected. I've also been editing the next Wolf Throne short story, A Test of the Spirit. This might be my favourite one so far, as we near end of the book!

I have all my author-related stuff backed up in the cloud but, be honest, how many of you have a USB memory stick you keep in your desk, just in case?

Guess what I'm busy updating this morning...

I've been poorly all week and written nothing ☹️ However, the plot of The Wolf Throne has been turning over in my mind. I've realised the current plan is too complex and needs two books to do it justice.

More work is needed, but I'm close to having a complete standalone novel!
