If I also may: as unfortunate as this experience was, it’s been a nice reminder of how lucky we are to have the *other* fandom events we have in the UK, which conversely are run with love and professionalism by people who care about the community before all else ❤️❤️

We were Nothing but unendingly supportive of this event from the get go. Never seen such genuinely psychopathic behaviour from event staff in my life of attending (and running ) events. Wow

Like, I would have not come forward here at all if I had any notion that they intended to make up for their mistakes. But not only did they refuse to admit any culpability, they made spurious legal threats and gave zero indication that they would change their policy to ensure no repeats.

As a fellow event runner in the community, I was actually hesitant to come forward, because I didn't want to drag the whole event running community down. I drafted various statements of my own. I was at a loss of what to do.

I was really gutted coz I really wanted the show to succeed.

A member of core element security assaulted me. In response, the directors immediately turned on me and harassed and intimidated me into silence with fraudulently composed fake legal correspondence in an attempt to save their own faces
