After a few months away, it’s so good to be back into the struggle of writing.
I’m 2,300 words into a poem that will be ~300 words when it’s done. Sure, it’s taking a long time to finish, but not a single word has been generated. When it’s finished, every word will be my own.
Any poets in Edinburgh itching for an open mic tomorrow, Drafted! will be at the Canons’ Gait, doors opening at 18:30. Signups available on the door!
Hey folks I'm wondering if people can point me to any burlesque/Boylesque/Bearlesque facilitators who might be up for a conversation? It's for a theatre project I'm working on about plus size male bodies in queer spaces. Ideally folks with lived experience of being plus sized/LGBTQ+

I am SUCH a sucker for flow switches right now. Rhythm + delivery are explosive enough as is, imagine what happens when you switch it up!

ALSO ME: I wonder if there is a way that I could relax that would be more productive
quite telling of how the Scottish government have managed arts funding in recent years that what should be an unambiguously positive announcement can leave a person wishing they'd clarify whether they mean a real increase or another pretendy one

Hoping it’s not empty promise.
I haven’t prepared properly for next year’s Fringes just yet, but the idea of next year is already filling my daydreams going into work. Feel free to read more here.

Really enjoying BlueSky so far as a concentrated feed of poetry-related antics. Keen to keep it that way 😁
