Hard enough to work out how to fit in grant deadlines, we now also have to decide on which grants to apply for based on the day of decision too! 😅

Thank you. It's fine, comes with the territory, win some, lose some. But no matter how many times it happens, rejection still stings! 😖

Quite a bit of truth in there. University should be about students being exposed to and exploring open thinking. AI gives the illusion to many that this is not needed, and also negates student assessments that previously allowed these skills to flourish. #AI #AcademicSky

Antimicrobial resistance - #AMR - is no longer a ‘silent pandemic.’ It's reversing decades of progress in safeguarding health in Asia-Pacific.

Drug-resistant infections are making common illnesses harder and more expensive to treat, including #tuberculosis, one of the world’s leading killers.

Hopefully yes. It should also make things a bit simpler to follow. I still find the current graphics with the greens and reds for each sector, a bit confusing. Also because there seems to be a delay when a time is set and the ranking updated. This may be on me, admittedly!

Important and interesting article.

#AI agents can be brilliant at integrating and pulling in data. But they also have limitations. It takes humans to spot these issues and / or... as in this case, to do the job properly.

Love this. Big computational gains by maximising the use of existing hardware.

Ha, that is certainly unusual to give a talk wearing a white coat. And also interesting view form the front. Almost intimidating with all the lab benches as the audience!

Interesting editorial on the mixed bag of using AI in research and scientific communication. Nice touch to launch on a turgid AI summary of the theme for illustrative purposes. 😉 #MicroSky #AcademicSky

Ah yes, I've seen that too. The tarmac replacement patches. Totally not in keeping, but presumably cheaper.

I love the scenery in this photo. The opposite of today's commercial lined walls and gravel etc. This just looks they're driving F1 cars on roads between fields!
