This isn't an 'OR' situation. It's an 'AND' situation. And those aren't the right words anyway. The words that are needed are "communication" and "action." The BlueSky members who have been here for months, investing time and energy into growing this community, sought, and deserve, both.

But on a serious note: Thank you to the community who are holding strong to not let this go and finally get answers and actions and understands how painful this is. Existing as a Black person is so exhausting and it’s very validating seeing this outpour of support🥹💕

At the moment BlueSky seems to be self-hobbling. You arrived a day after it was discovered that there are/were no moderation controls to prevent racial slurs in creation of or changes to handles. It's not a good time to come out of beta.
