And a question arises: who’s benefiting from these deep divisions in American society? Who’s gaining from the status quo?

I believe that there’s much more to change than mere opinions about politics. It’s a whole culture that needs to be reassessed. A culture built on trust and social rules that makes individualism virtually impossible.

the huge vehicles are used like mini-castles, the wide streets are meant for cars only, the scattered houses are as far apart from each other as possible. Not to speak of the ubiquitous weaponry privately owned.

Seeing these violent images from Europe, and as an architect, one can’t but think that all the elements of public space and the feelings of American people boil down to fear and distrust:
