this is on page 5 and there's a profile of Usha Vance on page 1, which really tells you how fucked the media's priorities are

And a question arises: who’s benefiting from these deep divisions in American society? Who’s gaining from the status quo?

I believe that there’s much more to change than mere opinions about politics. It’s a whole culture that needs to be reassessed. A culture built on trust and social rules that makes individualism virtually impossible.

the huge vehicles are used like mini-castles, the wide streets are meant for cars only, the scattered houses are as far apart from each other as possible. Not to speak of the ubiquitous weaponry privately owned.

Seeing these violent images from Europe, and as an architect, one can’t but think that all the elements of public space and the feelings of American people boil down to fear and distrust:

Morts, qui us ha mort?

Llanut, caramot, galundro, galipan i estopit.

A "Morts, qui us ha mort?

Ara mateix a l'#Esports3:

—Presentador: Molt exigents aquests d'Osona.

The brief was a poem:
“Winter house or pioneer cabin (house)
Summer space or church for a pantheist (need not be
a house).”
Shinohara complied with a radical, iconical, unforgettable design.

He commissioned Kazuo Shinohara two houses: the first (1957-58, now demolished) in Tokyo; and the second as a vacation house in Karuizawa (1972-74).

Shuntarō Tanikawa has died (1931-2024). The most famous poet in Japan, recurrently proposed for the Nobel Prize, was also the translator of Charles Schulz’s “Peanuts”. And he never thought that there was any difference between low and high culture
