Oh come on Rutger; you can’t be surprised regarding removal of the comment against the background of what has gone off between the BBC and Trump in litigation over the past few weeks. The removal is NOT about capitulation but about a public body protecting itself and its financing from further harm
At least he wont be getting DVT
Wasn’t the idea to have the aircraft over land rather than the sea for safety reasons as opposed to the quickest route?
e may be able to give you some leads or advice. Failing that a source of endless information is Tony Irwin who is listed - what he doesnt know about invertebrates isn’t worth knowing
If you look at the list of county recorders listed for every taxa on the nnns you should see a spider recorder listed norfolknaturalists.org.uk/wp/recording...
Andrew I was privileged to be able to chair the nnns through its 150th year and was heading to do so again for the next few years before the tumour that hit my life a few weeks ago. The availability of the information in the bird reports online is something I was keen on and introduced some tome ago
after I had done time of the research for my latest book ‘Norfolks Whales and Whaling’ wwhich should have been delivered to you if you’re a NNNS member.
That’s fantastic Andrew
Andrew I would encourage you to join the NNNS (norfolk and norwich naturalists’ Society. The benefits are great and it’s not that expensive - you’ll get a hard copy of the bird and mammal report each year as well as other usefull information norfolknaturalists.org.uk/wp/
You can always use the bird and mammal reports. They are frely available via the Norfolk and Norwich Naturalists Society norfolknaturalists.org.uk/wp/publicati...
I think you’re right to visit perhaps regularly . It may turn up a surprise or two for you well beyond a domestic chicken!
Do I remember a River Warbler at this site some time ago? Perhaps in the 1980’s
Whispering reeds in golden light … the beautiful marshes …. i know exactly that feeling you’re talking about Helen x

I do hope the beer slugger has considered the payback his ‘government’ would need to give to legal immigrants. I and my Australian wife have paid out just over £19,000 in visa fees over the last five years to obtain right to remain status. If rescinded I for one will be beating a path to the courts!
I got eyeballed at Bempton this week.
Some great close waders on the Yorkshire Birding Tour last week ... including this Greenshank
Thanks Gary - just travelling back from a week leading in Yorkshire will take a look tomorrow.
Cesarean … love it! - I think we need to put that one in the ‘too hard basket’ I shall record it as ‘cetacean species’ as there are several it could be. Many thanks for taking the trouble to record.
Rob/Gary - as you would guess it’s a tall ask to identify any cetacean from such distant photos. However I can tell you what it isn’t. It’s not a Harbour Porpoise or a Bottlenose Dolphin … it shows some features of Common Dolphin but any impression of size?

Water Voles are just adorable aren't they?
There's a good reason why the god of desire and beauty, loaned his name to the Adonis Blue Butterfly. We went South on tour today to see these beautiful airborne waifs amid the short turf of south facing chalk. Extraordinary creatures.
Nowp … as true as it gets!
Ok I get it … but now I can’t see anything but.
Almost as good as the comment from the guy next to me when a beer bottle floated past the ferry we were on ‘look … a bottle no dolphin’
In a spot of 'extreme botanising' from a moving vehicle this summer we came across Thistle Broomrape at the side of the A1
Up to 2000 the most common dolphin here in Norfolk was White beaked (a cold water species) now it’s Common Dolphin (a temperate water species)
