Point Break
09.08.2025 19:52 β π 3 π 1 π¬ 1 π 0How you tend to the burns no one else can see. How you gather the scattered fragments of yourself with steady, deliberate hands, so your sharp edges donβt cut the people who love you.
Survival is one thing. Choosing to heal... that, too, is an art.
A photo taken by photographer Adam Scott at an Atlanta Shooters event. There was a fire breather on site who agreed to breath fire inside a container. But he could only do it once due to the risk of oxygen loss. So Adam had one shot, one chance to get this photo right.
Yes, how you walk through the fire matters. The way you battled the very thing meant to shatter you is vital.
But just as telling is what happens after youβve staggered out of the smoke. #writing #photography
Sometimes I dream of having a regulated nervous system. What might that be like? #selfportrait #photography
08.08.2025 21:39 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0If only they knew: thereβs a strange attraction in raw honesty, a kind of beauty that blooms when you stop rehearsing and just exist.
08.08.2025 21:28 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I wish more people understood the art of simply being.
Not the AI version, nor the curated IG they parade around. I mean the unkempt half-feral version. The one they keep locked in the attic of their mind. #writing #photography
A photo taken by photographer Adam Scott at the Orlando Museum of Art. The photo shows a young man sitting on a bench looking at large prints of another photographers work.
Books, films, pets curled next to you, art, photography, romance, sex, and so much more. #photography
08.08.2025 21:16 β π 3 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Iβve been scrolling less lately, because unless I know the person behind it, I honestly canβt tell whatβs realβ¦ or if βrealβ even means anything now.
08.08.2025 18:20 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Hereβs the thing about living in a world run by algorithms and AI: you canβt tell whatβs real anymore.
Did a person actually make this? Write this? Create it from their own messy, human brain? Or did a program, or worse, a company decide I should see it?
Being alive is wanting to go home without knowing where that is.
You keep searching through streets, through people, through yourself but the address has been lost for years.
Maybe it never even existed.
Still, you want to go home, and the road keeps turning back on itself.
Right?! Simple, elegant, beautiful.
08.08.2025 15:54 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Itβs not quite enough for a full shoot, but it could be a perfect little add-on to the ones Iβm already doing.
08.08.2025 15:24 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Iβve been thinking about a photo series: models with coffee in hand, steam drifting upward, that sleepy-but-alive look right before the first sip. Maybe shot in black and white for a classic feel, or in warm color to match the glow of the moment.
08.08.2025 15:24 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Morning coffee isnβt just the best part of waking upβitβs the spark that makes the day feel possible.
08.08.2025 15:24 β π 4 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0What are you currently reading? Any book recommendations?
08.08.2025 03:51 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Good luck!
08.08.2025 02:02 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I've been considering going back and playing all the VtM games just for nostalgic joy.
08.08.2025 00:44 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I have a list...
1. First and foremost anything written by @scalzi.com
2. The Red Wing series
3. The Atlas Six trilogy
4. Six of Crows
5. If We Were Vilians
Makes me kind wish I still used Facebook, or that he posted here on Bluesky.
07.08.2025 23:48 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0It's 8pm and I would love a coffee, but if I were to have a coffee I wouldn't sleep tonight, or, at the very least, not sleep well.
07.08.2025 23:47 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I loved this game so much!
07.08.2025 23:29 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0They carry the evidence of my passage: ink scars, folded corners, the ghost of my thoughts pressed between their pages. A quiet, chaotic testament that I was here, and I made them mine.
07.08.2025 23:05 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0While some cradle their books like fragile relics, untouched and pristine, Iβ¦ am not one of them.
My books look lived inβspines cracked open like old doors, pages dog-eared and worn thin, margins tangled with underlines and restless notes.
I don't really follow Dean Cain, he's not someone I care at all about, so therefore he's beneath my notice. So I didn't know anything about him outside the fact that he once played superman.
07.08.2025 21:22 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Ooof, that would have been heart breaking. You are a good human to have helped them out like that. I am sure they appreciated it.
07.08.2025 20:09 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0For anyone interested in #photography this is an article worth reading.
We often think new gear will save us, or make us better, but some of the greatest photos ever taken, were done with tech no where close to what we have access to today.
Something to think about!
I did NOT have Dean Cain joining ICE on my 2025 bingo card!?! Who saw that coming?!
07.08.2025 20:00 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0There are so many Star Trek books! I have always wondered where to start. Might give your suggestion a try.
07.08.2025 19:59 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I love gothic colorful furniture!
