People who know me know that I love a good QR code. But I've just met my QR code nemesis: a QR code menu link at a restaurant that launches WhatsApp so you have to message and get a PDF menu in return. No paper menu.

I don't think I have *those* kind of concerns particularly. I probably figured it out from context hearing a Brit, and I think most others would, because the alternate interpretation doesn't make much sense. Maximum clarity can also mean maximally boring, but yeah, depends on the context.

Cool, thanks. I don't think Google would outright lie in in cases like this (yet). I did find that Google blog post when I looked around a bit, but yeah, it's not detailed enough on its own for me to cite if it comes up. There was a thinkpiece a few months ago I could probably find again if need be.
