Hmmmm feeling a bit of a Moore vibe this year.
For anyone who thinks bike lanes are the city’s top priority: River st, 11 days after the storm. It’s -4, totally bikeable for those who are into it. Related - I had multiple 503’s blow by my stop because they were too full. #biketo #ttc
@ttcalerts.bsky.social @ttchelps.bsky.social can someone explain how the ttc apps get their info? This stop has been completely and consistently wrong for more than a month and the LED sign inside the stop is wrong too.
Works the other way too, my downtown kid and his friends take the go out to the suburbs to find secret swimming spots, etc…
baseball is the most beautiful sport
I like this view on mlb. com in the game day tab
The Harder They Come, plus if you include TV, the Archies….
Welcome to the new academic year. McSweeny’s killing it as usual!
I think the knife on the right set is too small. If you have to buy online and you like the size of your current ones, try measuring/weighing them to get ones that are close.
I recently bought Mikasa Essex, the pieces are big and heavy, which I like. I keep a jug of mismatched thrift store cutlery for school lunches etc.
A+
Obviously people will come just to take pictures in front of the big beautiful sign (on the parking garage)
Nothing says "Canadian Unity" like a Smokey Sunrise as western wildfire smoke covers Toronto and the rest of eastern Canada in early June while our leaders stump for more oil production in an effort to make it year round.
That feeling in your eyes is the itch of climate change.
a testament to Canadian news media is that CBC reporter/anchor Chris Ensing was not made to trim his beard before the election night broadcast
Great thread to help remember that voters’ priorities don’t always line up and aren’t always consistent with the parties they support!
I have a velvet slipcover and find it incredibly resistant to looking dirty. It hides stains and general grime really well, better than any other fabric. Can’t say if it’s better than leather thought!
#ttc line 2 planned closure from ossington to Jane, so of course all the nearby #bikeshare stations are empty. Why not coordinate to have these full?
With quotes from me on how the federal government can and should improve university funding. thetyee.ca/News/2025/04...
I would love to see some good, teenager friendly content on this; many many teen boys are gambling online using fake birthdays etc…. Please share you you know some
Canada sits at a hinge point of history, and we will need to reimagine the country to deal with our new reality, and it is bewildering that every party, and every leader, is pitching tax cuts. Our would-be leaders need to rise higher to meet the moment. www.thestar.com/politics/pol...
YES. Canada's immediate future is likely going to be defined by a need to greatly bolster our military and intelligence apparatus, support workers affected by the American tariff war, deal with the effects of climate change, build housing at scale, and much more.
Really hope the federal gvmt and the provinces don’t sleep on this opportunity to invest in our future. This is about the only moment where post-secondary related election promises would actually land!
@ttcalerts.bsky.social 20 minute delay travelling northbound from eg west to Lawrence west, and no mention on the website?
I could literally scroll my thumb one inch to find out the nicest day this week. The AI-everywhere integration thing is really banking on some extreme laziness.
Great sticker ITW
Easy to lose this in the noise of the day, but the prime minister of Canada just said the US president, leader of the global hegemon, wants to soften us up economically so he can annex us.
That is one of the most remarkable statements, and realities, in our history.
these people are hopeless. i hope they all get tea partied next year
The market for “someone is wrong on the internet and this shall not stand” posts is somewhat diminished these days, but damn it it’s not satisfying.
