That's kinda the fun of it, a contrast between the start of the fight having the characters scale up platforms while making full use of their arsenal and combat capabilities, only for the last stretch to have them be a bunch of helpless balloons raming at each other in different ways

Imagine how cool it would be to have like, a version of endless abyss that indefinitely scrolls up so that inflated characters can keep trying to bump each other out of the stage from the sides while they naturally float upwards
