Survived the first week in my new workplace. Got an office, computer, keys & ID card - and so many lovely and welcoming colleagues. Key items have been added to my empty office shelves, and I’ve got tentative plans for stuff to work on over the coming months. Could do with some sleep, though 😂

Apparently blocks of perspex do indeed show up as water equivalent on airport security scanners. Lesson learned, I guess 🤷🏻‍♀️ #medphys

Well, we’ve got as far as Brussels. Now waiting for the 14:52 Eurostar (after the staff kindly rebooked us). So only 2 hours delay so far, at least - but I’m really sad about missing out on a leisurely morning with breakfast on the train 🙁

Oh well, that didn’t quite go to plan … Got 9 hours of restful sleep and a shower, but now stuck in Cologne waiting for a replacement bus. At least I’ve got good company! #ESTRO25

In terms of the response rate, I think that’s actually pretty good, given that it’s 6 months later and many of these patients were referred back to surgical departments etc, so lost contact with the RT department. And we didn’t use electronic questionnaires, so they had to get it in person

Good questions, and maybe @beardy-econ.bsky.social is better placed to answer 😊 But no, they weren’t all treated identically - most were included in the APHRODITE trial, which ment that they were randomised between standard and dose escalated LCRT. But some were treated outside trial

My feet are shattered by too much walking in heels, and I'm functioning on about 15 hours of sleep over the last five days. So now hanging out in a cool little cafe, trying to keep awake before boarding the night train to Brussels🚆

We got to present our innovative #reirradiation treatment planning solution, developed in close collaboration with RaySearch - and we saw the near-final implementation in RayStation. I can't believe that this may soon be available for clinical treatments! bsky.app/profile/canc...

The lower GI clinical trials sessions were packed with groundbreaking findings: primary reporting from STAR-TREC, PLATO ACT 4, PRIME-RT, STELLAR II, CAO/ARO/AIO-16, and more

The scientific programme was outstanding: not only the clinical track - with many, many large trials reported - but also extremely strong #medphys, #RTT and #radbio tracks

I couldn't agree more. We need more patient involvement - and we need it to not be confined to the last Tuesday session! I couldn't make it (speaking at the same time ...), but it looks like it was an excellent session - can't wait to catch up on the recording #ESTRO25

Isak Wahlsted led a national study of dose accumulation for #reirradiation: 8 diverse cases evaluated in all Danish RT centres
