One morning pre-coffee my wife accidentally said "poop dispenser" instead of "poop bag dispenser" and we agreed that the puppy is the real poop dispenser
Garbage collector: ❌
I've half-joked before that we should just pay every coal industry employee $5m and tell them "your industry has been eliminated, here is your severance" as a cost effective climate change political realignment
This is the Barbican Estate in London
What's pathetic is using an account labeler as pretext to shoehorn your pet issue into a completely unrelated joke thread then signal boosting your own post so more people will pile on or tell you what a smart person you are for having the right opinion. I'm ruling this an official Bluesky Moment ™️
Did turning a goofy riff deep in the comments about fucking a chocolate cake into a trans sports discussion culminating in a snitch quote to a bigger thread improve your mood or nah?
I just don't think it should come at the expense of high potential students and their teachers.
Getting certified to teach honors level and advanced placement courses is one of the few ways teachers can supplement their income and advance their careers, though. It sounds to me like you just want better financial support for grad students, which I would agree with. /
Why is the grad student, only accessible to the public if they pay exorbitantly high university tuition, more entitled to labor than a public school teacher?
Calculus is calculus. The curriculum is the same in a university and the concepts can be tested for, so why should it be that you can only learn it from a grad student versus a veteran teacher?
This reads like you are suggesting high schools offering AP courses is a bad thing
Ruben Gallego's endorsement of him and defense of that endorsement in his interview with Jon Lovett was also compelling
I listened to his interview with Jon Favreau and I really don't think this guy is a nazi, unless he's doing the Mark Wahlberg bit from The Other Guys where he learned to sound like a disillusioned ex marine who knows a ton about labor organizers so he could parody them more accurately
That's the definition of an endonym, yes
If you're in the US, use our preferred endonym "Americans". If you're outside the US, you can also use the exonym' "Americans".
Ima be real I stopped reading at USians
and make it clear which party is responsible for providing the benefits and which party wants to take them away. Universal is key and not means-tested, so you get middle class buy in.
That basically happened with Obamacare and Medicaid expansion and it didn't seem to make any of the red state holdouts meaningfully more liberal. It just immiserated the poor residents. I think the lesson is to impose universal liberal entitlement policies on red states instead, /
I listened to his interview with Platner. I was pretty skeptical of Platner going into it but I was impressed especially by his answers on elite impunity and war as a foreign policy tool, both of which are critically important to address to avoid further devolution into fascism.
This is just high school drama tier reporting. Who cares? What am I supposed to do with this information?
And some people deserve prison
As is the tendency to treat everyone convicted of a crime as someone who is really just themselves a victim of the system instead of a human being with agency facing consequences for their actions.
If you shoplift from walmart you can't be my nanny, if you got caught pirating season 4 of star trek: deep space nine you can. This is the kind of thinking my fancy degree enables
I also think people with college degrees' opinions matter
If you came in with the stats saying most women were in prison for copyright infringement you might've had me
I think that childcare workers should not have criminal records
I'm inferring that you mean that female ex cons are actually statistically good candidates to become childcare workers. Is that what you meant?
Both this post and op are clearly referring to ex cons.
What are you trying to say here?
My grandfather used to make kaiserschmarrn every Sunday, I can confirm it's great
