Most Americans have no idea how great Erbil is. And how wonderful and welcoming Kurdish Iraqis are. It's a shame we've never fully supported them in the face of constant threats.

This is nothing. I've seen Kalshi quotes on the CNN chyron now. Kalshi calls it "the future of news." I think it's the present--U.S. news outlets are more interested in the political "horse race" than hard facts. Makes sense everything is now a gambling opportunity. news.kalshi.com/p/kalshi-cnn...

Most *Americans* are low-info voters no matter the persuasion. Our problem is that the citizenry is poorly informed overall, bereft of critical thinking, and conditioned to believe no elected leader will better their lives. Apathy rules, and inevitably led us here.

Since leaving Tbilisi 7 yrs ago, I've returned occasionally to see friends and enjoy what is likely my favorite place on Earth. Seems I may not be allowed to visit again due to those I've associated with and my past links to "foreign NGOs." I can't promote Sakartvelo anymore to western businesses.

Can confirm. It ain't a watch without Old Bay, and anyone doubting this can suck my Bawlmore balls. And it ain't a warning unless you're at G&M

(Try me, you mouthbreathing Jimmy's and Koco's fans).

A few years ago I worked at a U.S. Embassy in a not-so-friendly neighborhood we're again currently involved in. Staff were invited to a chat with a DOS physician on Havana Syndrome. His overarching message was that it seemed to all be psychological and made up.

Few believed him, for good reason.

Mourinho would tell them that they'll never be special enough to matter.

So the Straight of Hormuz will remain closed for at least "4 to 6 weeks" as well. Can you guess what that'll do to oil and LNG prices? Plan accordingly.

If you haven't already invested in Brent futures, you may be a bit late.

The U.S. *could* use this to our advantage, providing Armenia with serious support, holding them up as what Georgia and others *could* be. But the Trump regime couldn't care, and can't see further into the future than a few days. See: USAID dismantling.

Also, Trump doesn't want to piss off Putin.

It's a nice thought, but it seems to ignore the fact that Senator Stroke would immediately switch sides at Netanyahu's behest and nullify such a move that might harm Israel's interests.

The balls that grow on GOP elected officials when they no longer have to face a MAGA primary electorate are amazing. Really serves to highlight their self-serving cowardice for years preceding such new-found chutzpah.

Dear Brian Gutekunst: Please cut the deadweight known as Rashan Gary, and use that cap space to bring in Greenard for two years, who would be a monster across from Micah at the tail end of next season. A 4th rounder is a pittance for this move.

The lesson being learned right now is that hosting U.S. forces going forward will make you a target when the U.S. inevitably uses your land to attack neighbors. The U.S. will need to *force* such concessions upon other nations now.

You can bet countries like Djibouti & Spain are watching closely.

What goes around, comes around, Chelski. You're just now feeling how it felt to deal with repeated failure. Get used to it, until you're bought by the Kuwaiti royal family and backed by a petrostate.

We've been at war with North Korea for 75 years. Officially. And the Kim dictatorship has been in power the whole time.

I look forward to MAGA ending this forever war against America by obliterating North Korea's nuke program and assassinating Kim and DPRK leadership, leading to regime change.

I'm old enough to remember 2003. Jeffries can waffle all he wants. He'll still be called "unpatriotic," a "terrorist lover," and "rooting against the troops." And he'll further discourage his own base.

Democratic leadership has learned nothing, and is still financially tied to AIPAC.

I've told my ethnic minority Canadian in-laws not to visit us anymore. They were already ahead of me.

They cancelled their vacation plans to visit Palm Springs last year, and will again go to Mexico (if safe again) or to another Canadian locale. Another $10k in tourism lost.

I mean, it's really wonderful of Mamdani to convince Trump to spare NYC (his beloved hometown, nonetheless) and a single student while Minneapolis, Portland, etc. suffer brutal Gestapo crackdowns. Yet another instance of Democratic Party leaders being unorganized and purely self-interested.

I have a real problem with any praise for Mamdani "charming" Trump. Suggests to other mayors to bend the knee and flatter an increasingly fascist/racist president. Should Jacob Frey have simply said, "Oh dear Trump, you're such a great leader with great headlines, and we wish you'd just spare us?"

The only one that worries me is the beer. I dont run marathons anymore, but regular 10k's, and goddammit I love tacos to the point I've been known to kill at least 6 in one sitting (esp. after a 90-min. 10 miler). But I doubt that I could hammer more than a beer an hour for a full day while awake.

In many jurisdictions, this could constitute "impersonating an officer of the law," which would be a felony under state law. It's important to gather evidence on any DHS officials who do this.

The real scary thing is what Hegseth/Trump want to use Claude for, that Anthropic restricts--surveillance against Americans and autonomous violence.

That's right: the Department of War desperately wants to create an AI-powered surveillance state better than China's wide-ranging domestic spying.

Look, I've been a member of USA Hockey since I played in college. But I won't support the Men's team again after this. They've intentionally saddled up to Trump and his cronies, and there's no going back.

They even put on Patriot Front uniforms (sans masks) to visit the White House today.

The problem is that this will be lost amid the 1000x additional "Midterm Messages" the Democrats put out, and will lose any significance it might have carried if it were one of only two or three messages.

They are truly a worthless opposition party that can't even coordinate a boycott of the SOTU.

Yet another example of how DOJ and Smith fucked up by handling this matter in SDFL, instead of NJ (due to Bedminster). Had to know Cannon was a likelihood, whereas the odds of a Trump judge were far less in the Garden State.

Venue shopping is a real thing, for very real reasons.

Pushing to refund hundreds of billions to *businesses* instead of earmarking that money for something that would directly benefit the hurting poor seems like a political move to embarrass Trump.

Which, at this point, is probably a good idea, as no *real* good can be done until he's gone.

Hellebuyck absolutely stole that game for @usahockey.bsky.social who had no business winning that game after mid 2nd period.
