In any case, so what. All animals engage in some form of r@pe, cannibalism, or infanticide. Dogs, cats, etc. Seals do all three and even SA penguins. Orangutans pretty much reproduce by r@pe.

For dogs, the primary senses are smell and hearing, while other species also rely on touch more than sight, which the mirror test doesn't take into account.
