I let the apple rest in a pot of ice water until ready to load the dehydrator. Then dip sliced apples in lemon juice & place in racks. The dehydrator runs at medium temperature for 5-6 hours. I make a batch for myself & one for holiday gifts. #whatscooking

Applegeddon is in full swing. Applesauce is done & now I’m working on dehydrating. If you’re never used an apple peeler/corer, here’s one in action. The end product is peeled, perfectly sliced apples.

A big pot full of golden applesauce with 3 apples sitting next to it on the counter. It will go into canning jars next & be hot water bath processed for 30 minutes. I add lots of cinnamon & a touch of brown sugar.

My neighbor’s apple tree is overflowing so I made applesauce! #whatscooking
