Today's meeting with @jonshell.bsky.social , chair of @scpartners.bsky.social , @danskilleter.bsky.social, Gene Chartier, Taylor Seek hon, and Lee Chitiz, all representing Employee Ownership Trusts (EOTs), was productive and insightful.

02.12.2024 14:36 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I take it this is overall average? Do you have a sense of what this would look like for lower income/wealth quantiles? (i.e., bottom 10%, 20%, 25%, 50%)?

20.11.2024 17:45 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0The UK stats on employee ownership keep impressing year after year with no sign of slowing down.
When you make selling to your employees economically viable, it - unsurprisingly - turns out to be a pretty popular option.
Well, however understated these wealth figures are they can serve as a useful basis for creating new wealth concentration figures (top 0.1%) - like the PBO has undertaken previously.
StatsCan still shows no interest in doing this work themselves.

Request to add @scpartners.bsky.social - a non-profit that deploys policy and advocacy to confront wealth concentration, primarily in Canada.

I worked in Minister's Offices for years and can't recall ever being pitched directly by an academic. Just some think-tanks who had academics supporting their work.
